Fit & Sizing
  • How do Blundstone boots fit?
Blundstone boots are designed for outdoor life, wherever life takes you. They are the boots you can wear the whole day, day after day and feel good in them. When you first try them on Blundstone boots should fit a bit tight around the ankle. In time, the elastic will stretch to fit your ankles perfectly, and the soles will follow the shape of your feet. However, the length of the shoes won’t change. When you’re trying them on, and walking in them, your toes shouldn’t be touching the tip of the boots. There should be some space left, half a thumb size or a thumb size, especially if you’re going to walk in the boots the whole day (feet get swollen during the day).
  • I'm confused about sizing, how do I know my size?
Sizes might vary from from style to style and much depends on the shape of each individual’s feet. The website provides a Size Guide to assist with international conversions and can be found for every footwear selected. Remember, we do accept returns should a fit not be suitable.
  • What happens if I don't like the items or they do not fit?
Please follow our Returns Policy available to view on our website. If you send the item back to us in its original condition and within the stated period, you can either get an exchange if the item is in stock, or receive a full refund. Terms and conditions apply.
Weatherproofing
  • Are Blundstone boots waterproof?
Blundstone boots are made of premium leather, and their unique construction has many seams and stitching with waterproof thread, meaning there are fewer places for water to get in. Blundstone boots will keep your feet dry during rain or snow. But don't soak them in puddles, they are not rubber boots, even high-quality leather has its limits.
  • How to waterproof my Blundstone boots?
To keep your Blundstone boots waterproof, take good care of them. Clean the soil, salt and mud from the seams and leather when they appear. After cleaning, apply a cream or wax for the leather. You can also use the specially created Blundstone Renovating Creams to prolong the life of your boots.
  • What is the difference between water-resistant and water-repellent?
Water-resistant products have the lowest level of resilience offering some water protection. Sometimes the material has been coated with a very light substance making water penetration more difficult and is usually able to withstand a light rain shower.
Water-repellent products provide greater protection than those that are water-resistant but not sufficient to be labelled waterproof. Water-repellent products are usually coated with a more resilient substance to make water penetration even more difficult.

  • What are Blundstone boots made of?
The majority of Blundstone boots are made of premium leather, textile and polyurethane used for outsoles. These materials are used in the Original Series, the Classic 550 Series, the Dress Series and on the Lace Ups. The Thermal Series Blundstone boots are made of water-resistant leather with polyurethane outsoles.
These boots have an upgrade for that nasty wet winters: the lining material is leather & textile with Thinsulate insulation, and footbeds are made of sheepskin. The Safety Series Blundstone boots are made of water-resistant leather. The outsole material is rubber while the midsole is polyurethane. They have a steel toe guard for extra protection. Summer Series Blundstone boots, depending on the model, are made of canvas, premium leather or water-repellent suede. They all have soles made out of phylon EVA with rubber heel and toe grip pads.

Blundstone boots are much more comfortable than other leather boots. One of the reasons why is the elastic band around the ankles and the high-quality leather we use. However, if you feel like you need to soften them up, you can rub some natural oils into the leather-like mink or coconut oil. Just rub it in with a cotton cloth.
